So pretty: game highlights

Sep 6, 2009, 12:13 AM EDT

Take a look at the slick highlights our video crew put together from today’s decisive victory. I might just keep this one on loop tonight and soak it in, because come tomorrow, it’s time to start talking Michigan.

What a great day. Good to finally get some confidence in my stomach instead of that sinking feeling that was so prominent last year. If the momentum can carry over from December to September, I think it can carry over again through next week.
Floyd’s a monster, Tate’s grab on the sideline was focused and disgusting, Rudolph’s emerging as an elite tight end, defense looked a bit shaky but made plays when it counted. I think we’ve got a legitimate shot at the ship, not saying we’re gonna win it, but it’s good to finally have a legitimate shot.
Weis’s first [real/full] recruiting class was built for a power running game, his second was all about throwing the rock, those kids are finally upperclassmen and they played like it today.
The haters will be out in full effect with the cries of “it was Nevada!” [i still think Nevada will challenge Boise St. for the WAC] while their teams got off beating the brakes off Charleston Southern/San Jose St./Western Michigan/etc. But it’ll even be sweet to hear them getting openly vocal again, because it means we’re finally back.
    Go Irish.
PS – Solid blog thus far, it’s become part of my daily online routine. Hope the season affords opportunity for more posts like these past few.

Loving this blog, 99% of blogs or articles I come across, are filled with the haters, and the writers themselves are fans of Mark May, so the content itself isn’t much to look at either. So great job on the blog, and keep up the good work.
Now, on to my favorite topic, How bout them golden dome’Rs? Passing game was great, line held great, running game was solid. Defense although did have some room for improvement, talk about an improvement off last year, and the year before. Definitely headed in the right direction. – The scheme and aggressiveness of the D was great, only critique is that if you get your hands on the guy, you better make the tackle. The missed tackles didn’t hurt us this time around, but could make all the difference next week, or the week after, ect……
Overall, I’m more then excited about what this season has in store for us, and I am making a solid prediction here, this year or next year, the Irish WILL put this 20+ year drought behind us…..
    GO IRISH!!!!!!!
