keith,
1. thank you for the excellent film work of the type that can never be late.
2. on the issue of jimmy's getting down properly when necessary, if you take a close look at the game film, jimmy did exactly what he should have done.
3. jimmy put his knee down and, by the rules, the play was over and any contact with jimmy by any michigan state player was a personal foul.
4. there were many such illegal contacts, many of them deliberately calculated to cause the injury which did result from those illegal hits.
5. not surprisingly, the ref crew at that game called no penalties and ejected no michigan state players.
6. now that we have started delivering game films to the personal residence of delany, delany has actually taken some type of actions. first, delany suspended michigan lb mouton for punching nd center eric olsen right in the face in front of the ref crew at the michigan game. then, based on the game film of last saturday's purdue/niu game, delany suspended purdue lg reckman for the notre dame/purdue game.
7. if delany and those like him have some conception that these absurdly insufficient actions are going to keep us off their backs in the civil courts, they are sadly mistaken.
8. on saturday, charlie and his staff and notre dame's student athletes have a game to play at purdue and we know that they will win the game on the field.
9. we will be watching the refs and tech reviwers and their protectors very carefully.
10. if any of them want to put their material assets up for grabs by making more dishonest calls of no calls, we will oblige them and anyone who protects them at the conference and ncaa levels.
GO IRISH!!!
