keith,
while we have never disliked purdue the way we have always disliked the michigans and the uscs, the only real unknown for us in this game is whether or not the refs and tech reviwers will call the game honestly.
but for the crooked refs, notre dame would be undefeated.
while there is no mechanism currently in place at the conference or ncaa levels for having the results of games determined by crooked refs and tech reviewers reversed and, because of the so-called sportsmanship conduct rules, there is nothing that charlie and his staff, notre dame's student athletes, or jack swarbrick can do about such atrocities, there certainly are things that we can and will do in the civil courts during this season.
right now, charlie and his staff and notre dame's student athletes will be taking the field against opposing football teams and crooked refs and tech reviewers and we are confident that they will overcome both opponents in each game and just keep silent about the refs and tech reviewers, as the current rules require them to.
we especially liked eric olsen's response to a question at this week's press conference about whether or not michigan lb's punch to his face had landed. the response currently required by the sportmanship conduct rules was no comment.
eric delivered the response that he had to with a priceless smile and look in his eyes.
