Yeah 10 and 2 and unranked is something to be proud of. In the next 5 weeks you will witness the miracle of the BCS. A team getting a bid without beating a ranked team. Only ND can do that.

Charlie is coming back hate to be the one to tell you but he is. 10 wins is possible and a bowl win would help, He really hasn’t given reason this season to be fired. The loss to USC was expected and the Michigan was in the final seconds. That could happen to anyone. Plus Charlie has the recruiting thing down you don’t get players like Clausen and Te’o away from USC if you don’t. Regardless of what you think of the defense or the schedule all that matters is wins and if Charlie has 10 at the end of the year he will be back.

Another typical ND/BC game. How many years since ND beat BC.
Same old story. USC should have showned the ND fans they couldn’t
win the big game. ND is back, about 50%. The remaining season is
WEISS’s last.

Is the defense bad? Yes. Is there a positive side? sure, USC put up 501 yards of offense and you lost by 7 points when it could have been forty. ND should be able to use the speed it has again BC and hold them. The other side of the coin is hey run the ball and keep the defense off the field.

This is about as one dimensional an offense as ND will see, with a 25 yr old freshman QB. Shy of totally selling out agaist the run, ND should not have trouble with BC’s pass offense. Time for the defense to show us if this has been growing pains or if they are just not very good. I bet they play well.
