I think continued improvement from week to week is the starting point.
It seems when the Irish lost a crucial game early it was hard to get the mojo back. Towards the end of many seasons it seems the Irish were
wore down without any positive emotion....'playing with fire'seemed to be lacking especially on defense. The line play has be improved on both sides of the ball....if they progress week to week i think good things will happen.

Robertg, I love you man. Keep up the good work, if you're real. If you're fake, you have a GREAT imagination and I enjoy reading your fiction. My honest vote is that you are real, but I don't agree with all of your predictions. I too want to see Jenkins go but not because of football, but because I'm pro-life and Catholic. Don't let me down. Are you pro-life?

1.the welcome back gala for charlie and his staff will take place in south bend well in advance of the 2011 season before purcell, swarbrick, jenkins and kelly and his staff and the vicious media shills at the south bend tribune and at these so called notre dame fan sites can do any more damage to notre dame football and the university of notre dame.
2. some people will be invited and allowed to attend and others will not.
3. we do not rewrite history, we make history.
4. one recent example is our statement posted right here at notre dame central that pete carroll and his staff would be forced to flee usc for the nfl and exactly how we were going to make that happen, along with citations to court cases which we recently won and internet links to those cases.
5. we got hit with the same vicious posts claiming that petey would never leave usc.
6. however, petey and his staff have already fled usc for the nfl, just as we predicted.
7. charlie and his staff had the ability to use petey's flight to the nfl to bring notre dame another no 1 ranked recruiting class, as they did in the 2008 recruiting cycle.
8. kelley and his staff have not been able to add even one top notch difference making recruit to notre dame's 2010 recruiting class because they do not have the trust of recruits and their familes and high school coaches all over the us, as charlie and his staff did and still do.
9. while the recruits that kelly and his staff have added seem like
fine intelligent young men with fine characters, not one of them has the athletic ability to be a differnce maker for notre dame on the football field.
10. our personal favorite is heggie, the de, who leapt at kelly's offer since he had not received even one offer from any bcs division program in the entire us.
11.since the attorneys' fees and costs awarded to us by the us district judge in the enron civil rico cases alone( there have been many other cases which brought in for us higher amounts) were more than $690 million( anyone who wants to can verify that amount online), no, none of us life in studio apartments. we have family estates all over the us and all over the world for the uses of ourselves and our families.
12. we are doing the things that we know are the correct things for college football and college sports and for notre dame football and for the university of notre dame.
13. nothing that any of you may think or post is going to slow us down.
14. petey and usc sure tried every dirty trick in the book to stop us, but petey and his staff have fled usc for the nfl, exactly as we predicted right here at notre dame central.

robertg wrote in post #11..... 6. with the public announcement of sanctions against the crooked usc football program, notre dame's win total for every season that charlie and his staff were coaching at notre dame by one win each season over usc.
7. we will also eliminate the other phony losses in other seasons to other schools so that the official records will be accurate.*********************************************************
robertg don't you realize if a team has to forfeit a win for any reason, the official record does not change for the team they played...in other words, the rules state that Notre Dame's official won-loss record would remain the same.
Are you going to force the NCAA to change that rule?

robertg;
Thank you for the update/info on the U$C upcoming sanctions. If what you say comes to past, there will essentially be no real penalty or impact to USC. If the sanction does nothing to impact the future, what's the point? Changing the paper outcome of past games is relatively meaningless.

1. charlie and his staff and their families were not treated badly by the university of notre dame or by the real notre dame community.
2. they were stabbed in the backs by purcell, swarbrick, and jenkins and some of their allies in the current administration, along with certain vicious media hate mongers at the south bend tribune and at the so-called notre dame fan sites, who have been conning millions out of naieve notre dame fans for decades falsely claiming to have inside information and knowledge of notre dame and of college football. the qualifications of the characters at irish illustrated rivals and the south bend tribune and these other so called notre dame fan sites? some of them actually graduated from notre dame and one of them played baseball at notre dame. their knowledge of college football or notre dame football? bupkis.
3. these people launch huge marketing campaigns every time they promote a coaching change.
4. with these elements gone from notre dame forever and honest and transparent officiating, rules enforcement, rankings, and bcs systems in place, charlie and most of his staff will come back to notre dame where they have unfinished business.
5. look at where charlie and his staff are now. buying out their current contracts just requires money which we will provide out of the funds we collect in the civil courts frrtom petey and mikey and usc and the other schools that cheat and from the ncaa, the bcs and the conferences and every person and entity involved in these scams which have turned college football and sports into the massive con operations that they are today..
6. neither charlie nor any of his staff chose notre dame for the money. they chose notre dame because they truly understand and love notre dame and notre dame football, unlike purcell, swarbrick, jenkins, and kelly and his staff of refugees from gvsu.
7. once the bad elements are cleared out of notre dame, charlie and most of his staff will come back to notre dame and finish the task that they started because they are men of the highest integrity, not people driven by personal greed or power lusts.
8. right now, swarbrick is already jockeying around to be appointed the next ncaa commisioner and to leave notre dame and purcell is, according to our sources playing around with notre dame's endowment in the same manner in which he tried to play around with other people's money as the ceo of morgan stanley before we and our allies kicked him out. look up phil purcell morgan stanley online.
9. we hope he gets the ncaa position since the ncaa is another crooked organization which we are going tom tear apart in the civil courts.
10. we have noticed a tendency for certain persons to confuse the university of notre dame and the notre dame community with the abominable actions of a few very rotten apples.
11. we do not have any problem making the proper distinctions since we have taken the time and gathered the evidence to prove everything we post in the civil courts, instead of just spouting off on the internet.
12. we stated that we would force pete carroll and his staff to flee usc for the nfl- that task is already done and the rest is coming quickly and ineviatably, just like the economic downfalls of the enron and mci worldcom scams and every person and entity involved.
13. we post information at notre dame central and elsewhere on the internet so that persons of good faith will have a chance to enlighten themselves and stop being victimized.
14. we did the same thing when i personnally figured out how enron and mci worldcom were cooking their books.
15. despite the warnings, many people chose not to check the source information that we provided and purchased more enron and mci worldcom shares because certain elements financial media who were deriving imm, ense financial benefits from those con operations published articles stating that we were wrong or insane and that we would never be able to bring down those con operations with their powerful financial and political allies in the civil courts.
16. there is plenty of information available online about what happened in the enron and mci worldcom civil rico cases. if you are interested, read about it. we got the stock shills also.
17. also, read about our big court win over the ncaa. we have provided the online links.

1. charlie and his staff and their families were not treated badly by the university of notre dame or by the real notre dame community.
2. they were stabbed in the backs by purcell, swarbrick, and jenkins and some of their allies in the current administration, along with certain vicious media hate mongers at the south bend tribune and at the so-called notre dame fan sites, who have been conning millions out of naieve notre dame fans for decades falsely claiming to have inside information and knowledge of notre dame and of college football. the qualifications of the characters at irish illustrated rivals and the south bend tribune and these other so called notre dame fan sites? some of them actually graduated from notre dame and one of them played baseball at notre dame. their knowledge of college football or notre dame football? bupkis.
3. these people launch huge marketing campaigns every time they promote a coaching change.
4. with these elements gone from notre dame forever and honest and transparent officiating, rules enforcement, rankings, and bcs systems in place, charlie and most of his staff will come back to notre dame where they have unfinished business.
5. look at where charlie and his staff are now. buying out their current contracts just requires money which we will provide out of the funds we collect in the civil courts frrtom petey and mikey and usc and the other schools that cheat and from the ncaa, the bcs and the conferences and every person and entity involved in these scams which have turned college football and sports into the massive con operations that they are today..
6. neither charlie nor any of his staff chose notre dame for the money. they chose notre dame because they truly understand and love notre dame and notre dame football, unlike purcell, swarbrick, jenkins, and kelly and his staff of refugees from gvsu.
7. once the bad elements are cleared out of notre dame, charlie and most of his staff will come back to notre dame and finish the task that they started because they are men of the highest integrity, not people driven by personal greed or power lusts.
8. right now, swarbrick is already jockeying around to be appointed the next ncaa commisioner and to leave notre dame and purcell is, according to our sources playing around with notre dame’s endowment in the same manner in which he tried to play around with other people’s money as the ceo of morgan stanley before we and our allies kicked him out. look up phil purcell morgan stanley online.
9. we hope he gets the ncaa position since the ncaa is another crooked organization which we are going tom tear apart in the civil courts.
10. we have noticed a tendency for certain persons to confuse the university of notre dame and the notre dame community with the abominable actions of a few very rotten apples.
11. we do not have any problem making the proper distinctions since we have taken the time and gathered the evidence to prove everything we post in the civil courts, instead of just spouting off on the internet.
12. we stated that we would force pete carroll and his staff to flee usc for the nfl- that task is already done and the rest is coming quickly and ineviatably, just like the economic downfalls of the enron and mci worldcom scams and every person and entity involved.
Charlie has 4 different DC's in four years at ND. If Charlie would have stuck with Corwin calling the plays and schemes I truly think he would still be the head coach at ND.
1. we did make a bet with sot about our forcing pete carroll and his staff to flee usc for the nfl and, when he lost that bet, sot disappeared from nd central, although we will track him down and his friends down in the civil courts and take all of their material possessions anyway.
2. the ncaa is a strange operation and very corrupt until we fix the current structure.
3. however, we will pass on the information that we have right now, but keep in mind that there are still some elements within the ncaa who solicit and accept payoffs, despite the economic thunder which we have brought down on them in ther civil courts.
3. the sanctions against usc will be publically announced on 2/21/1010, after national signing day.
4. there will be no death penalties, but there will be official forfeitures on many wins for many seasons, including every bogus paper over notre dame while charlie and his staff were coaching and wins for bentire seasons.
5. usc will also have to forfeit their pac 10 championships, their one bcs championship( although that action will follow from the bcs) and their 2 ap national championships( another action that will follow from the ap.
6. the heisman trust will take away reggie bush's heisman and very likely carson palmer's and matt leinart's also.
7. in the area of monetary sanctions, usc will have to pay back large sums of money generated from the crooked football and basketball programs during the pete carroll era.
8. however, you should be able to determine what kiffen and his staff at usc are saying to usc recruits right now. they are saying that the sanction will never happen, but not putting anything in writing, and stating that the sanctions will be, with minor exceptions, retrospective only, and will not affect usc very much in the future.
9. the ncaa sanctions will indeed have very little effect on future usc operations.
10. that is why we are prepared and will step up in the civil courts to take away the material assets of every person and entity associatted with the usc con operation, along with a large chunk of usc's endowment since the board of trustees and administration at usc not only did nothing to stop the cheating, but cooperated in the coverups and payoffs.
11. our economic sanctions will be much more damaging than the ncaa sanctions.
12. when charlie and his staff return to notre dame well before the 2011 season begins, charlie and his staff will be able to haul in huge recruiting benefits for notre dame, as they would have done during the 2010 recruiting cycle if they had not been stabbed in the back by the current cancers within notre dame.
13. however, since kelly and his staff are completely clueless about notre dame and notre dame football and recruiting the brightest and the best, notre dame's small 2010 recruiting class consists of recruits who committed to charlie and his staff and who have decided that their love of notre dame as an institution overcomes their disgust for kelly and his staff.
14. our bet with sot was that, if we actually did force pete carroll and his staff to flee usc for the nfl, sot would have to wear notre dame t shirts and sweatshits for one year after petey's flight and, if we did not succeed, i would wear usc gear for one year.
15.obviously, we already knew what was going to happen with petey and we did warn sot about that, but he insisted on making the wager anyway.
16.normally, we do not make bets when we already know the outcomes.
17. however, as those of you who have followed notre dame central well know, sot has certain rude and obnoxious usc neanderthal qualities which allowed us to make an exception.
18. since we already know that charlie and his staff will be back coaching at notre dame well before the 2011 season, we certainly would not want to take any money from anyone who admires and loves notre dame as we do.
19. therefore, since we are collecting tons of money from notre dame's enemies, we will host, in south bend, a welcome back charlie gala day and formal dinner well before the 2011 season begins and we invite everyone who admires and loves notre dame to attend for free( purcell, swarbrick, jenkins, and kelly and his staff will not be invited).
20. at that time, we will hand over to notre dame's new administration enough very large donations out of the funds that we have collected in the civil courts from pete carroll and usc and notre dame's other enemies to make notre dame's endowment at least triple the endowment of any of university on this planet.

1. in the meantime, we certainly hope that as many top notch student athletes as possible overcome their disgust with kelly and his staff and with purcell, swarbrick, and jenkins and commit to notre dame on national signing day which is coming up next week.
2. we also hope that the fine student athletes whom charlie and his staff persuaded to choose notre dame over many other schools, including the members of notre dame's no 1 ranked recruiting class of 2008 who will be juniors next season continue to improve and develop as student athletes, as charlie and his staff taught them so well.
3. unlike purcell, swarbrick, jenkins, and kelly and his staff of refugees from gvsu, charlie and his staff really know, understand and love notre dame and notre dame football.
4. however, no one can succeed on paper at notre dame football until the crooked officiating, rules enforcement, rankings, and bcs systems and every person and entity associated with those systems are eliminated and punished by us in the civil courts, with severe economic prejudice, and replaced with honest trasparent systems fully transparent to and accountable to the public.
5. we have stated before that, based on the detailed analyses of our expert witneseses of game fil and tv feeds, the real record of charlie and his staff for the 2009 season is 12-0, not 6-6 since crooked officials from conferences of which notre dame is not a member illegally intervened to alter the outcomes of those 6 losses and tried unsuccessfully to make the phony loss figure higher.
6. with the public announcement of sanctions against the crooked usc football program, notre dame's win total for every season that charlie and his staff were coaching at notre dame by one win each season over usc.
7. we will also eliminate the other phony losses in other seasons to other schools so that the official records will be accurate.
8. these achievements of charlie and his staff and notre dame student athletes are even more impressive when the fact that many of notre dame's opponents field teams of full time football players who have zero academic obligations and who cheat while every single notre dame student athlete takes the same academic courses as every other notre dame student.
9. the elimination of the phony student athletes at every other school, another item that we will fix in the civil courts, will also assure that notre dame's student athletes who also play football or other sports will not be facing any more full time football players or athletes in other sports who do not meet even the most minimal requirements of being genuine students.
10. as anyone who has read out posts before well knows, we have undertaken and sucessfully completed many national litigation projects in the past.
11. we provided the case citations in the past, but will be happy to post them again for anyone who requests them in good faith.

1. yes, charlie and his staff will be back at notre dame for the long haul well before the 2011 season begins.
2. we live in the world of laws and evidence and judges and juries and civil courts.
3. purcell, swarbrick, and jenkins illegally fired charlie and his staff and illegally hired kelly and his staff of amateur refugees from gvsu.
4. the university of notre dame is a legal entity governed by state and federal laws and internal rules and bylaws.
5. the acts done by purcell, swarbrick, and jenkins were done in knowing violation of these laws and rules and. as a result, are not actions of the university of notre dame, but simply illegal power plays be these individuals who are attempting to hijack control over notre dame's endowment and other assets and over notre dame's football program.
6. we stated right here at notre dame central that we were going to take the required legal actions in the courts to make certain that pete carroll and his staff of crooks who have been running usc's crooked football program since 2002 would no be coaching at usc next season. we got ridiculed in many posts.
7. however, as you know, petey and his crooked staff already fled usc for the seatle seahawks in the nfl.
8. in addition, usc ad mike garrett and many other persons conected with the usc athletic department and the usc administration will be resigning before the ncaa publicly announces on 2/21/2010 the sanctions they are imposing against the usc football program and other athletic programs which do not include the so called death penalty, but which do include the forefeiture of many so called wins in their football and other athletic programs and substantial economic penalties.
9. after that public announcement, charlie and his staff and notre dame will be officially undefeated against usc in football for the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 seasons at least, although the sanctions and forfeitures may well go back to the year that mikey garrett hired petey and they implemented their cheat to win program.
10. did the ncaa suddenly see the light and decide, because of some type of divine insiration, to take these actions against the crooked usc football and other athletic programs?
11.NO. we and our allies brought down the thunder on the ncaa in the civil court by forcing them, for the 1st time in their history, to release to the public every single transcript and other document realting to the ncaa investigation of academic fraud in the florida state athletic program.
12. the ncaa spent millions in attorneys's fees and costs trying to defeat us at the court trial and in appellate courts all the way up to the florida supreme court and, since we defeated the ncaa and their attorneys at every level, the ncaa had to pay our attorneys' fees and costs as well.
13. anyone who wants to read and print out the documents in this case for free at the florida supreme court level can do so by going to www.floridastatesupremecourt.org and entering the name of this case national collegiate athletic association vs the associated press,et.al case no sc09-1909.
14. you will then find a list of documents and you can click on and print out for free any document you want to read.
15. how did the big court win cause pete carroll and his staff to flee usc for the nfl?
16. the public disclosure laws in the state of florida are the same as public disclosure laws in all 50 states, in the distict of columbia, and at the federal level.
17. so, we are hammering away at the ncaa in state and federal courts all over the us for full public disclosure of every single internal document, including all documents relating to the many invesigations of usc football, basketball, and other athletic programs.
18. based on their recent responses, the ncaa is running out of money for attorneys's fees and cost to fight us.
19. since we are all experienced trial attorneys who finance our own cases, we will never run short of funds.
20. we will clean the corruption out of college football and college sports and force the creation of new honest 21st century high tech systems of officiating, rules enforcement, bcs, and rankings systems.
21. then, having made vthe world of coolege football safe for charlie and his staff and for notre dame's student athletes who also play football, we will use the civil courts to kick purcell, swarbrick, jenkins, and kelly and his staff out of notre dame and we will force them to reimburse the university of notre dame for the damages which they have already done.
22. we will also force the adoption by notre dame of new 21st century high tech systems of institutional governance which are fully transparent to the public and fully accountable to the public so that this type of illegal hijacking will never happen again at notre dame.

Um I don't think I'm buying the argument that the defense will turn things around in one year. I'm reminded of the old saying fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I can recall before this last season reading about how the defense was supposed to be the strength of the team and how good the secondary was going to be. Then came the season from hell. I have never seen a worse defense in all my years of watching football at any level. Every week I kept hoping that the defense would improve in any way, most especially in their tackling. I kept telling myself surely Charlie and his defensive crew will get these guys in practice and have them do tackling drills to improve if it takes all day long, but it never happened. The tackling was so god awful this year I had to turn my head at times and the lack of aggression at times was pathetic. I'm not going to mention names but some kids on defense should simply not be playing at ND, Central Michigan yes, ND no. If I were BK the first thing I would do when I start football related practices is have those guys on defense work on their tackling. I mean from day one I would pound that into their head and tell them over and over again until they understood. Maybe then the defense will improve but again I will have to see it to believe it.

BobbyG, really there is a 12 step program you need to get into...admit that you are powerless to effect who coaches ND football.
As for the defense...2007 and 2008 seasons I thought that it was just the defense spending too much time on the field due to the offense being ineffective. After watching last year it became clear that I was wrong about that. The defense often looked lost, fooled by play action pass and couldn't cover their mouth let alone a receiver. They couldn't get anyone off the field on 3rd down, they often committed boneheaded penalties which kept drives alive. In the 6 games lost it often came down to a stop, force someone to punt, they couldn't. I was at the Stanford game and Charlie's decision to let Stanford score came about two plays to late.
Offense sells tickets, Defense wins Championships. As long as BK recruits for the 3-4 and sticks with it he'll be ok, we already know his offensive scheme can win shootouts. Part of what ailed the ND defense over the course of the last 3 years was an inability to committ to a scheme. One year 4-3, next year 3-4 year after that 4-3. When you can't decide on a scheme it makes it hard to recruit the players.
BK can turn programs around...in the case of Cincy, he didn't turn them around he put them on the map, he took a basketball school and put the football program on the map. ND is on the map, he knows where we are, he knows where we want to be, and he knows how to get us there.
