Irish finalize spring schedule

Notre Dame’s Sports Information department just released the football team’s spring schedule. The fifteen practices will kick off on Friday, March 26th and culminate with the annual Blue-Gold Spring Football game on Saturday, April 24th.

Here’s the complete list of scheduled practices, with two sessions falling furing the annual Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic:

2010 Spring Football Practice Dates

Mon., March 29
Wed., March 31
Wed., April 7
Fri., April 9
Sat., April 10

Wed., April 14
Fri., April 16 - Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic
Sat., April 17 - Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic
Mon., April 19
Wed., April 21
Fri., April 23
Sat., April 24 - 2010 Blue-Gold Spring Football Game

The team will practice Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, with the exception of Easter weekend.

For those interested in the access the media will have to Notre Dame’s practices, the Chicago Tribune‘s Brian Hamilton reports via his Twitter feed that the media will have access to one open practice and four 45-minute windows within other practices. The rest of the sessions will be completely closed. For those interested in comparing Kelly’s policies to that of the Weis regime, Weis had one completely open session as well and then kept most practices open for the first 20 minutes, giving reporters all the stretching and individual work they could ever hope to watch.

(I was a big fan of the backpedal personally...)

Hamilton also notes that any player interviews will take place on the field after practice, a definite change from the way it was previously done.
