Irish quarterback Dayne Crist will play in Saturday’s Blue-Gold Game, Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly told NewsCenter 16 Sports Director Jeff Jeffers in a 1-on-1 interview Tuesday afternoon.
Crist will continue to be ‘protected’ during the game---as he has been throughout spring practice. Crist had knee surgery in November to repair a torn ACL suffered in the Washington State game last Halloween.
He was not expected to be able to play in the spring game, but has progressed well enough according to Kelly.
In fact, every Irish player will be available for Saturday’s game, the first since Kelly took over as head coach. That includes tight end
