I am 74 and have not been to a ND game since my year at Holy Cross in 1950. I have missed but a few games due to my TV availability in KY. My goal is to one day stand on the ND sidelines during a thirty point win over Southern Cal. My only regret is that Pete C. will not be there. I will make it, even if I have to crawl to South Bend. I really appreciate the online coverage. My wife has cancer and we are fighting this battle in Phoenix. So far we are ahead by a field goal. My wife is a Razorback from Lou’s day and she is a fighter. I read the whole game and interacted several times, even getting a few ans. Thanks again and GO IRISH
good luck Poppa John…best wishes to you and your wife.
You and your wife are in my prayers Papa John and may GOD bless you guys. My mom is fighting a battle with breast cancer but by the grace of GOD cancer is no match for MOM, MRS’ PAPA JOHN, and/or anyone else in the Fight’n Irish community or across this beautiful earth of our’s for that matter. I’m sure Coach Kelly and the 2010 Fight’n Irish will make us all proud with the way they play ball next fall, not so much with their wins and losses but with their “FIGHT”. Because win or lose I’m sure at the end of the day all we expect as fans is for the players to “leave it all on the field”.
