I think the smart money is on Floyd and Rudolph staying. They'd be entering the draft next year under a worst case scenario-- both players coming off an unproductive season with a lockout looming.

Sticking around for senior year is the low-risk option. Odds are good that both have much more productive seasons in 2011, thereby boosting draft status ($), and they'll both have a much better idea of what the future holds as far as the lockout is concerned.

And don't discount the value of leaving with a ND degree and finishing out the undergrad experience.

Floyd did not have anywhere near close to a successful season that compares with guys like Broyles, Blackmon and Jeffrey. His second half performance doesn't make up for the slow start he had in the first half. The other similar scenario would be Baldwin from Pittsburgh who was also a preseason AA.

If Floyd does choose to return for his senior season, I would anticipate that he'd again be on someone's preseason AA list.

I think it comes down to what is motivating Floyd. If it's a burning desire to show that he can contribute to an NFL team, he probably will go b/c I think he's as ready as any college receiver to compete and contribute to an NFL team. Not many college wide receivers block as well as he does, and he's got as good of physical tools as anyone, coupled with a nasty disposition and high work ethic.

If it's money that motivates him, if he's smart he should probably stay another year, get a QB (and rest of the offensive team) that's got experience under the spread, and up his draft status. Especially with the rumored lockout.

If he's motivated by proving people wrong, that's a toss-up to me. He could prove them wrong by staying at ND and dominating next year, competing for a bigger stage than the Sun Bowl (not that I have any problems with our bowl game this year), or he could prove em all wrong by entering the draft and making an impact sooner than the guys who seem to be more highly regarded by the talking heads.

I just hope he's got good counsel when he goes through that decision. Gun against my head guess? I would wager he leaves and Rudy stays (mainly b/c of the hamstring and what it did to his draft status). I really hope he doesn't leave though!
