I think it is because the odds makers believe the convicts have an advantage at QB, and also think too highly of Seantrel Henderson. I agree with your evaluation. I think the team that makes the fewest mistakes/turnovers will win the game. GO IRISH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don’t understand why Miami is favored tomorrow. It’s pretty clear that whichever team establishes a stronger rushing attack is very likely to win.

ND’s ground game came alive against Utah and got better against Army and USC. Miami’s rushing defense is weak; they’ve been seriously gouged on the ground several times this season by pretty average rushing teams.

ND’s rush defense has been solid all season, and they’ve completely stuffed better running offenses than Miami’s on several occasions.

Yes, Miami has a freakish pass defense, but one good unit does not a football team make. ND takes this game convincingly.

My post-Christmas Wish List:

1) A convincing Sun Bowl win against the Convicts,
2) Floyd to give it one more year,
3) Rudolph to give it one more year (not necessarily in that order, as Rudy was nice enough to pose for a pic with my daughter in NYC),
4) A stocking full of blue chip recruits by signing day, and,
5) Keith to make a New Years Resolution to start proofreading his column.
