Hopefully ND will replace one of the early in the schedule Big integer teams. The travesty of playing three teams generally back to back to back at the beginning of the season when each of these teams usually plays only patsy warm up teams before facing ND must end. There is no logical reason ND must play all Big integer teams at the front end of the schedule. If these teams do not agree to play spread out through the year, fine substitute in one of the hundreds of other schools that would be overjoyed to play ND.

Temple glad to have ya!

I agree, there will be plenty of people up in arms about another "easy game" on ND's schedule. But as Keith stated, Temple has had two good seasons and it seems like their program may be slightly on the rise. At least ND can still say that they don't schedule any 1-AA teams like several other powerhouse football programs do.

Temple's home field is Lincoln Financial Field. It would be a home game for Temple if played there. Reports are this is a 2 for 1 series.

I believe the article is alluding to the fact that a game played at Lincoln Financial Field would be one of Notre Dame's "floating home games". Although it would be played in Temple's backyard, it would still be scheduled as a Notre Dame "home game" which would be broadcast nationally on NBC, which would be the biggest TV game Temple might play in, outside of a bowl game.

This is probably the closest we'll come to scheduling a "warm-up" game like most of the football factories do.

I'm glad Temple pulled itself out of the gutter under Al Golden, but we'll no doubt still catch flack for scheduling them.
