I agree – I get tired of hearing about how going to, and playing @ ND has been their dream, Then when they get a scholarship offer they are going to wait to see how many other offers & campus visits they get before committing to ND. The same old BS gets old.

Ugh. Get a sense of humor people.

I attended ND for 7 glorious years and married a domer. I love the school as much as anyone.

My comment was merely a tongue-in-cheek way of pointing out how what these kids say after a visit is pretty meaningless; they all utter the same blandishments about the campus, education, and tradition.

They don’t all feel that way. Lots of them, especially the blue chippers, will choose to play elsewhere. Wouldn’t it be refreshing if there was a little more honesty?

It would certainly make the post-visit comments a little more meaningful.

I hope they weed out dumbasses that are primarily focused on hot babes and warm weather before they waste time and money on a campus visit.

I’d love to see a little more candor from these prospects instead of the usual platitudes about the campus, education, and tradition.

“South Bend is terrible. Why did they decide to build the school in this godforsaken place?”

“The campus is beautiful, but the girls? Not so much.”

“I nearly froze to death. No joking.”
