Manti Te’o: Doing work

Jul 22, 2011, 6:07 PM EDT

For a guy that’s getting heavy national acclaim this preseason, Manti Te’o has almost flown under the radar. (At least from a Notre Dame fan’s perspective.)

As a true sophomore that was truly learning on the job, Te’o made plenty of eye-opening plays, flashing the potential that could have him taken in the NFL Draft’s first round (whenever he wants to leave school), while also showing a lack of polish that makes him a true work-in-progress and has many excited for what’s to come in 2011.

With that in mind, our wizards in the video department put together one-minute of highlights to remind you that Manti Te’o is… well, a pretty exciting football player.

Here’s Manti Te’o: Doing work.

Forgot about that hit against Stanford. Wow! It’s official now. I can not wait for this season to start.

Manti will set the tone on Sept 3rd, for what will be a remarkable year for this young man.

    Beast Mode Manti! Beast Mode!

No offense can run the flanker screen over the middle when he’s on the field. Manti wipes it out every time. Without fail he reads it, locks in on target, and hits it just as the ball arrives. Same is true a lot of times for regular screen passes. You just can’t lob a screen pass and give Manti time to line up the hit. You just can’t.
