I haven’t heard anything lately about Alquadin Muhammad. I thought he was quite interested in the Irish; seemed like a good kid from a good football program. Anyone here knows anything?

Time to go out on a very thin limb here and say this class turns out to be one of the best. Going out on an even thinner limb I would be willing to bet it stays together until NSD. The number 1 recruit committed to Clemson today I wonder if that will start making others guys follow that path. I bet ND nabs two or three during this visit. I also have to think the ND coaches are tired of there blood pressure hitting dangerous levels during recruiting cycles. Regardless of the season I bet they are able to keep things together.

Yes, two noble opponents in the recruiting field: child´s passion and family ties. I´m ok with that. But Coach Kelly ?? Not so fast… Think he will continue his efforts with these two gentlemen, like other similar cases in the past (see Stephon Tuitt). Said that, I still believe in Anzalone, Kelly´s RKG. Liked that piece of cake in the text: “who doubles as a running back for his high school team”. I presume a certain speed and elusiveness here…

I’ve met Cox and he’s a great kid with a ton of physical talent. However until I see him VS top high school talent I don’t know if he’s a big time college player or just a man playing among boys at his small time high school. I don’t think his loss is a huge one for Notre Dame. Anzalone is a more proven big time college football player.

I think having Jaylon Smith and other big time Midwest talent will help recruit Anzalone. He is the best inside LB on the boards. This weekend is huge for ND filling holes on this team. I’ve not seen a group like this come to Notre Dame since the days of Lou Holtz. Best wishes for a successful weekend.

Since we all know why Anzalone decimmitted from OSU. We don’t need any overzealous Irish fans/alums of dubious moral character trying to influence him. No road trip to South Bend, Nude.

Here’s exactly how it happens:

“I was thinking about this, and this is something I could tell my kids when I’m older,” Mastrogiovanni told ESPN. “I’m getting a chance to play football at OU. That is something I’ve always wanted to do.”

And here’s what Cox had to say:

“It came down for me to ASU and Notre Dame and once I got down to that I started talking to my family and figuring out my options and with ASU being so close and my parents being able to watch me, that’s when I started to get my decision,” Cox told ASU’s Rivals site. “It is just the fact that I’m going to be close to home.”
