Tristen Hoge is down to his final days as a high schooler. And as he plans to early enroll at Notre Dame, Hoge signed his early enrollment paper work and made that commitment official Tuesday.
Brian Kelly and area recruiter Bobby Elliott were in Idaho at the Hoge home for their in-house visit. And because of a recent tweak in NCAA rules, Kelly was able to talk publicly about the incoming freshman.
The Idaho State Journal was able to get some face-time with the head coach of the Irish, who talked about what Hoge brings immediately to a depth chart at center that could be a work in progress this spring.
Hoge is 247Sports.com’s No. 1 center in the country. Both 247 and Rivals view him as one of the country’s top 150 players. He’ll play in the U.S. Army All-American game before heading to South Bend.
