Quick Take: A nice complement to Tony Jones, McIntosh brings big-play speed and change of direction skills to the recruiting class. Shares some traits with CJ Sanders in his ability to also play in the slot, McIntosh could be a weapon in the passing game as well.
What he means to the Irish: Reloading the running back position was a critical objective in these last two recruiting classes. With McIntosh joining Jones, Josh Adams and Dexter Williams, the Irish have done that—getting elite production from a group that maybe doesn’t have the highest recruiting ranking.
McIntosh’s recruitment might be one that’s taken for granted. Notre Dame doesn’t always go into the Fort Lauderdale area and sign kids. So credit Autry Denson for landing a back from a part of the country that produces plenty of talent.
